The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 109 calls for service in the past 24 hours. Seven people were arrested.
Police Execute Search Warrant CK15033290
Last night, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Section executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant at a residence in Chatham.
Approximately $28,000 worth of marijuana, cannabis resin, cocaine and methamphetamine was seized. Drug paraphernalia, Canadian and US currency and contraband cigarettes were also seized.
A 44-year-old Chatham man has been charged with four (4) counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
A 62-year-old Chatham man has been charged with three (3) counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking. He was released pending a future court date of November 26, 2015.
Man Arrested from CKPS Wanted List CK15033319
On March 10, 2015 police responded to a disturbance on Sudbury Drive in Chatham. The man was arrested and charged with assault. He was released pending a future court date. On October 2, 2015 the man failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Last night, the man turned himself in to police headquarters. Kelly Salisbury, 47 years, of Sudbury Drive in Chatham was released pending a future court date of November 20, 2015.
Teen Charged with Being Intoxicated in a Public Place CK15033349
Last night around 11:30 p.m. an officer observed a group of young people making considerable noise and shouting behind the Ridgetown District High School. As the officer stopped to speak with the group, the young man became belligerent with the officer. He was unsteady on his feet and an odour of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath.
The 18-year-old Ridgetown teen was taken into custody and charged with being intoxicated in a public place. He was released when sober.
Break and Enter in Chatham CK15033241
Sometime late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning, unknown suspect(s) damaged five (5) vehicles parked at Actionmatic Ltd on Maple Leaf Drive in Chatham.
Approximately $10,000 worth of tools were stolen from the trucks. Damage to the trucks was estimated at $3000.

Traffic Enforcement CK15033286
Yesterday, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service and Chatham-Kent OPP conducted a joint forces speed enforcement initiative on Kent Bridge Road. In total, officers issued 35 tickets.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service would like to remind drivers to please slow down. Obey the posted speed limit and always drive at a speed that will allow you to stop safely should you have to brake quickly or unexpectedly.
