The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 96 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Three people were arrested.
Man Arrested from CKPS Wanted List CK15034428
On September 23, 2015 around 4:15 p.m. the man was observed stealing a Schwinn bicycle from a residence on Sandy Street in Chatham. The value of the bike was $700.
Through investigation, police identified the man responsible and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Last night, officers located the man and he was arrested on the outstanding warrant. The 28-year-old Chatham man has been charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK15034437
On July 31, 2015 the man was charged with three counts of drug possession. He was released with conditions pending a future court date.
On October 15, 2015 the man failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Just before 5:00 a.m. this morning, officers located the man and he was arrested. The 28-year-old Chatham man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Man Charged with Being Intoxicated in a Public Place CK15034403
Last night around 5:10 p.m. an officer on general patrol found the man passed out on a grassy area adjacent to Dover Street in Chatham. The man was unable to care for himself and for his own safety was taken into custody.
The 48-year-old Chatham man was charged with being intoxicated in a public place. He was released when sober.
Break and Enter in Wallaceburg CK15034376
Sometime yesterday between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked residence on McNaughton Avenue. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a 42” Samsung TV, Game Cube, Samsung tablet, HP laptop, Wii console, PlayStation 4, Surround Sound box and speakers along with various DVDs and games. Total value of the theft was estimated at $5000.

Sometime between November 16 at 6:00 p.m. and November 17 at 8:30 a.m. unknown suspect(s) forced their way into a residence on Princess Street South. Various items were stolen.
