Man Charged with Impaired Driving CK15036157

Last night around 6:45 p.m. the man was involved in a collision while in the parking lot of Kentucky Fried Chicken on Mill Street in Tilbury. Through investigation, police believed the man was operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested. The man was transported to police headquarters for breath tests.

Donald Montminy, 54 years, of Athlone Road in Tilbury has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. He was released pending a future court date of December 29, 2015.

Man Charged with Domestic Related Offences CK15036120

On Saturday night, while driving between Dresden and Thamesville, the man assaulted his girlfriend and damaged her cell phone. The woman exited the vehicle and began walking. A passing motorist offered the woman a safe ride back home to Wallaceburg.

Yesterday morning, police located the man and he was apprehended. Upon being searched incident to arrest, he was found to be in possession of a jack knife in the ready position.

The 38-year-old Walpole Island man has been charged with assault, mischief under $5000 and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man Charged with Flight from Police CK15035744

On December 2, 2015 just before 11:00 a.m. officers attempted to stop a vehicle on Lacroix Street in Chatham. The driver failed to stop and a pursuit was initiated. The driver began operating his vehicle in an erratic manner and almost struck an on-coming police cruiser with its emergency lights and siren activated. The pursuit was terminated for public safety reasons.

On December 3, 2015, the owner of the vehicle reported it stolen. Through investigation, police identified the man in possession of the vehicle as the same man who failed to stop for police.

On December 4, 2015, officers located the man he was apprehended. The 26-year-old Chatham man was charged with flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, theft over $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime over $5000. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Mischief of Pro Life Display CK15036139

Sometime late Saturday or early Sunday morning, unknown suspect(s) knocked over approximately 1000 white wooden Pro Life crosses in a field along Longwoods Road.
