Sarnia Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK15035615

On September 14, 2105 the woman was charged with break and enter, possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000 and drug possession in relation to a theft investigation on Talbot Trail in Blenheim. She was released with conditions pending a future court date.

On September 30, 2015 the woman failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Last night, the woman was located by Sarnia Police and taken into custody on the outstanding warrant.

Tammera Schurman, 51 years, of Kathleen Avenue in Sarnia was released with conditions pending a future court date of January 14, 2016.

Woman Charged with Theft CK15035618

Last night around 6:00 p.m. the woman attended Sears on King Street in Chatham. The woman was observed by the loss prevention officer to place items in her purse and a brand new toque on her head. The woman left the store making no attempt to pay for the merchandise. Store security apprehended the woman for shoplifting and police were notified.

Through investigation, police determined that the woman had stolen 10 shirts, a toque and pair of gloves.

Viola Hawgood, 33 years, of Fourth Street in Chatham was charged with theft under $5000 and being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. She was released with conditions pending a future court date of December 16, 2015.

Motor Vehicle Collision CK15035585

Yesterday afternoon, emergency personnel responded to a three vehicle collision on Grand Avenue East near Victoria Avenue in Chatham.

Two people were transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for medical attention. Total damage was estimated at $15,000.

A 60-year-old Wallaceburg woman was charged with making a left hand turn and failing to afford reasonable opportunity to avoid a collision.

Break and Enter in Chatham Ck15035597

Sometime Saturday, November 28, 2015, unknown suspect(s) entered an open garage on Chippewa Drive and stole a blue Norco Malahat bicycle valued at $600.
