The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 113 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Two people were arrested in that time.

Man Charged with Trespass by night CK16015303

Last night at approximately 11:35 p.m. police were dispatched to an address on Zone Road 7 in Bothwell for reports of a male trespassing on the property. Police attended and located the man at which time he was arrested for trespass by night.

The 51-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and charged with trespass by night, he was later released with a future court date and several conditions.

Man Charged with Being Intoxicated in a Public Place CK16015314

On May 28th 2016 at approximately 11:00 p.m. police were dispatched to an address on St. Patrick Street in Chatham for reports of an intoxicated male sleeping on the lawn of a residence. Upon arrival police located the man who found to be heavily intoxicated.

The man was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters for his own safety.

The 54 year old Chatham man was charged with being intoxicated in a public place and will be released when sober.

Motor Vehicle Collision

CK16015238 – Shortly after 11:50 a.m. yesterday morning, police responded to two vehicle collision on Third Street near police headquarters in Chatham. There were no injuries reported. Total damage was estimated at $5000.

Man Issued 3 Day License Suspension CK16015341

This morning around 1:49 a.m. an officer on general patrol initiated a traffic stop near the area of Glenwood Drive and McNaughton Avenue East in the City of Chatham.

Through investigation the officer believed the man was driving while under the influence of alcohol. A roadside breath test was conducted resulting in the 21-year old Chatham man being issued a three-day license suspension.
