Chatham-Kent Daily News Release – 28Dec2016

The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 106 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Two people were arrested.

Break and Enter CK16043861

The Chatham-Kent Police are looking for information regarding a break and enter in Chatham.

Sometime between December 26th at midnight and December 27th at 1 am, unknown suspect(s) forced their way into a business on Byng Avenue in Chatham. Once inside the suspect(s) stole a quantity of food and alcohol.

Woman Charged with Domestic Related Offences CK16042909

On December 27th, 2016, just after midnight, police responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Chatham.

Through investigation, police learned that the woman used an imitation hand gun and threatened the life of the victim during a verbal altercation.

The 20-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with Uttering Threats to kill and Assault with a Weapon. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Male Charged with Being Intoxicated in a Public Place CK16043948

On the 28th of December, 2016 shortly after midnight police responded to an intoxicated male in the area of Mc Naughton Ave in Wallaceburg. While dealing with the male police determined that he was unable to care for himself. He was taken into custody for his own safety.

The 42 year old male has been charged with being intoxicated in a public place. He was released upon being sober.
