The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 146 calls for service in the last 24 hours. One person was arrested.
Domestic Assault – CK16028085
On the evening of Saturday August 27th, police responded to a domestic dispute in the city of Chatham. Through investigation, police learned that a male and female were involved in an argument over alcohol. During the course of the argument, the male poured a beer over the female’s head and threw the empty can at her. The male then assaulted the female, and broke a window in the residence. Police were called and the male was arrested.
A 40-year-old Chatham man has been charged with assault with a weapon, assault, and mischief. He is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Break and Enter in Chatham– CK16028036
On August 27th, 2016 police attended an address on Siemens Drive in Chatham for a break and enter complaint.
Sometime between 5:00pm on Friday, August 26th and11:30am on Saturday, August 27th, unknown suspect(s) entered a fenced compound and stole a Yamaha generator and a Yamaha boat motor.

Break and Enter in Wallaceburg- CK16028120
On August 27th, 2016 police attended an address on Grand Avenue in Wallaceburg for a break and enter complaint.
Sometime between 11:00am on Friday, August 26th and 9:30am on Saturday, August 27th, unknown suspect(s) entered a residence and stole a laptop computer, alcohol and a blue ladies wallet.

Theft in Erieau- CK16028094
On August 27th, 2016 police attended the marina in Erieau for a theft complaint.
Sometime over the past week, unknown suspect(s) entered a boat docked at the marina and stole approximately $3500 in fishing equipment.
