The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 150 calls for service in the past 24 hours. There was 1 arrest. There were 7 non-emergency 911 calls.

Woman charged with Impaired Driving CK16027828

At approximately 11:30pm on August 25, 2016 police responded to the area of Given Road, Chatham, with regards to a single motor vehicle collision. The driver of the vehicle drove into a decorative pond in the front yard of a Given Road residence. Through investigation it was determined the driver of the vehicles ability was impaired by alcohol.

A 45 year old Chatham woman has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and driving a motor vehicle with more than 80 mgs. of alcohol in her blood. She was later released with a future court date.

Stolen Vehicle in Wallaceburg CK16027702

Sometime in the early hours of Thursday, August 28, 2016 , unknown suspect(s) stole a 2003 Chevrolet Duramax pickup truck, pewter in colour, from the Bluewater Line area in Wallaceburg. The pickup truck was last seen with Ontario license plates 7588FR.

Stolen Vehicle in Wallaceburg CK16027712

On Thursday, August 28, 2016 at approximately 8:30am, Chatham-Kent Police attended a Maple Street address in Wallaceburg in response to a stolen vehicle complaint. Overnight a 2004 GMC Sierra pickup truck, gold coloured with matching truck topper. The pickup truck was last seen with Ontario license plates 6352YZ

Theft from Vehicle CK16027715

On Thursday, August 25, 2016, a Chatham resident reported unknown suspect(s) entered his unlocked vehicle and rummaged through it stealing some loose change and a gift card. The community is reminded to lock your vehicles.
