CK16019096/CK16019045
On June 24th Chatham-Kent Police conducted R.I.D.E. checks in Erieau and Thamesville. In total 537 vehicles were checked. Police administered 7 road side tests with one refusal and one novice driver being charged. Police also issued 12 non-alcohol related Provincial Offences under the Highway Traffic Act.
With the summer weather here it is important to arrange sober transportation if you plan on consuming alcohol. Registering a ‘Warn’ or 0.05BAC on a roadside test will result in a driver’s license suspension and costly insurance hike.
