The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 109 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Four people were arrested in that time.

Motor Vehicle Collision

CK16027499 – Shortly after 5:00 pm, yesterday afternoon, police responded to two vehicle collision on Richmond Street in Chatham. There were no injuries reported. A 27-year-old Chatham man was charged with careless driving as a result of the investigation. Total damage was estimated at $3000.

Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK16027524

On August 8th 2016, police began to investigate a domestic related incident and learned that the man had repeatedly attempted to contact his ex-partner and had followed her home. Police were unable to locate the man and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Yesterday evening, the 19-year-old Chatham man attended police headquarters and turned himself in on the outstanding warrant. The man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK16027545

On August 8th 2016, the man attended Shoppers Drug Mary in Blenheim where he proceeded to steal a Sony speaker and subsequently fled the area. The incident was captured on video surveillance and the man was identified and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Last night, police located the man riding a bicycle along Talbot Street in Blenheim and he was arrested. The 32-year-old Blenheim man has been charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000. He was released pending a future court date of September 13th, 2016.
