Intoxicated in a Common Area – CK16010850
On April 23rd, 2016, at approximately 6:00pm, Police attended an address in Wallaceburg in regards to a Liquor Licence Act complaint. Upon arrival Police located a man passed out drunk in the hallway of his apartment complex. Police arrested this Man for being intoxicated in a common area, he was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where he was held until sober. The man was also issued a Provincial Offence Notice for being intoxicated in a common area.
Intoxicated in a Public Place – CK16010890
On April 24th, 2016, at approximately 12:00am, Police attended an address in Chatham in regards to a noise complaint. Police spoke with the home owner who advised the party had gotten out of control at her residence. Once the guests had left, the home owner exited the residence and began yelling obscenities at Police and other residents in the area. The Woman smelled of alcohol, slurred her speech, and stumbled in the parking lot. It was clear that due to her intoxication and inability to control her behavior that she was unable to care for herself.
Police arrested this individual for being intoxicated in a public place. She was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters to be held until sober. The woman was also issued a Provincial Offence Notice for being intoxicated in a public place.
R.I.D.E in Chatham-Kent – CK16010884
On April 23rd, 2016, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service conducted R.I.D.E programs throughout the Municipality. There were no infractions or Provincial Offence Notices issued. Police are reminding everyone to plan ahead and have a safe way home as the weather will begin to improve throughout the spring.
