The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 141 calls for service in the last 24 hours. No one was arrested.

Traffic Enforcement in Chatham CK16031889

Yesterday, members of the CKPS Traffic Unit conducted enforcement in the area of Keil Drive and Riverview Drive.

In just two hours, 33 motorists were issued tickets for making illegal left hand turns.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service would like to remind all drivers that disobeying a traffic sign may result in a $110 fine and two demerit points.

Stolen ATVs from Wallaceburg CK16031886

Sometime late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning, unknown suspect(s) stole two ATVs from a residence on McCreary Line.

The first ATV was a red and silver 1990 Honda TRX300 Fourtrax 300 cc. It was last seen with Ontario license plate 5AH49.

The second ATV was a red 1995 Honda TRX300 Fourtrax 300 cc. It did not have a license plate on it.

Total value of the theft has been estimated at $5000.

Theft of Bicycles in Chatham CK16031851

Sometime between September 21st at 10:00 p.m. and September 22nd at 7:00 a.m. unknown suspect(s) entered a locked garage on Braemar Street and stole four mountain bikes.

Total value of the theft is estimated at $2000.

The bikes are described as:

– GT Aggressor 3.0 orange 21 speed mountain bike with large frame and 26” wheels

– GT Aggressor Comp black/charcoal 21 speed mountain bike with extra-large frame and 27.5” wheels

– GT Aggressor black/red 21 speed mountain bike with 24” wheels

– GT Karakoram Sport black/blue 27 speed mountain bike with 29” wheels

Theft of Vehicle CK16031852

Sometime between Wednesday night at 9:00 p.m. and Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. unknown suspect(s) entered the locked compound at Michener Auto Body on Grand Avenue East in Chatham.

Once inside, the suspect(s) stole an unplated grey 2003 Toyota Corolla. The vehicle was last seen with a flat tire.

Theft of Power Tools from Garage CK16031896

Sometime since September 10, 2016 unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked garage on Cedarwoods Crescent in Chatham and stole a Stihl leaf blower, Stihl hedge trimmer and Stihl weed eater.

Total value of the theft has been estimate at $1000.
