The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 123 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Two people were arrested.
Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK16018635
Last month, police received information that the woman was harassing and threatening her ex-boyfriend via Facebook and unwanted text messages. These messages dated back to November 2014. Attempts were made to located the woman, however when unsuccessful, a warrant for the offences of criminal harassment and uttering threats was issued for her arrest.
Yesterday afternoon, police located the woman and she was arrested on the outstanding warrant. The 21-year-old Tilbury woman was released pending a future court date of July 12, 2016.
Man Charged with Trespassing CK16018674
Last night, shortly after 8:30 p.m. police received information that a man verbally trespassed previously from Walmart on St. Clair Street in Chatham had returned to the store. The man fled prior to police arrival, however he was located and spoken to in the area of Jackson Street and Glenwood Drive.
The 23-year-old Harwich Township man was issued a Provincial Offences Notice for trespassing.
Man Charged with Being Intoxicated in a Public Place CK16018650
Last night, the man called police in an intoxicated and irate state. The man was complaining about his living arrangements.
Officers attended the area and found the man intoxicated in a stairwell on Fourth Street. The man was yelling and belligerent towards the officers as he was on the phone with dispatch. The 61-year-old Chatham man was arrested for his own safety and charged with being intoxicated in a public place. He was transported to police headquarters and released when sober.
Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere CK16018685
Last night, officers conducted a RIDE spot check on Chatham Street North in Blenheim.
Thirty vehicles were stopped and checked with no infractions observed.

Break and Enter in Chatham CK16018646
Sometime between June 19th and June 21st unknown suspect(s) entered a residence on Raleigh Street and stole an iPad and PlayStation 3 gaming system.

Motor Vehicle Collision in Chatham CK16018579
Yesterday morning around 9:00 a.m. police responded to a two vehicle collision on Lacroix Street.
No one was injured. Total damage was estimated at $8000.
A 47-year-old Chatham man was charged with following too closely.
Woman Charged with Driving while Under Suspension CK16018684
Last night, around 10:25 p.m. an officer on general patrol observed the woman driving a car with an expired validation sticker. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Sandy Street in Chatham to further investigate.
Through investigation, the officer learned that the woman was currently suspended from driving for unpaid fines. The 53-year-old Chatham woman was charged with driving while under suspension and driving with no validation on plate. Her vehicle was towed from the roadway and she will be required to attend Provincial Offences Court on July 6, 2016.
