Chatham-Kent Daily News Release – 21Sept2016

The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 156 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Two people were arrested.

Man Charged with Failing to Comply CK16031681

On August 3, 2016 the man was released from custody with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that he was to remain inside his residence between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. daily.

This morning around 2:00 a.m. an officer on general patrol observed the man walking on Patteson Avenue. The 25-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with failing to comply. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man Charged with Failing to Attend Court CK16031608

On August 30, 2016 the man was released from custody with several conditions pending a future court date.

Yesterday morning, the man failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Shortly after 1:00 p.m. the man attended court and was arrested on the outstanding warrant.

The 46-year-old Chatham man was charged with failing to appear. He was released pending a future court date of today.

Stolen Vehicle from Chatham CK16031562

Sometime late Monday night or early Tuesday morning, unknown suspect(s) stole a grey 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche from a residence on Creek Road. The vehicle was last seen with Ontario license plates AH55 310.

Motor Vehicle Collision CK16031552

Yesterday morning at 8:00 a.m. police responded to a two vehicle collision on Charing Cross Road near Middle Line.

No one was injured. Damage was estimated at $10,000.

A 43-year-old Windsor woman was charged with failing to yield the right of way.

Break and Enter in Ridgetown CK16031550

Sometime between September 19th at 11:00 p.m. and September 20th at 7:20 a.m. unknown suspect(s) entered CSX Transportation on Erie Street North. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole office supplies.

Theft of Bicycle in Chatham CK16031628

Sometime yesterday, unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked garage on Parry Drive and stole a silver and white Schwinn hybrid bicycle.

Break and Enter in Chatham CK16031566

Sometime between September 15th at 8:00 p.m. and September 16th at 6:00 a.m. unknown suspect(s) entered a garage on Braemar Boulevard. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a Mastercraft compressor.
