The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 170 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Four people were arrested. Two of the four people were arrested on outstanding warrants.
Police Recover Stolen Vehicle from London CK16022683
On July 19, 2016 a silver 2010 Dodge Charger was stolen from the London area. Yesterday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. police received information that the vehicle was broken down on the side of Baseline Road.
Through investigation, the registered owner was contacted and a woman was located by police down the road.
The 29-year-old London woman was arrested and charged with being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Man Charged with Numerous Domestic Related Offences CK16022628
In May 2016, the man was arrested and charged with one count of assault. He was released with several conditions, one being not to communicate with a specific Chatham woman.
Through investigation, the woman disclosed previous incidents of domestic violence before his arrest in May and subsequently after his release from custody.
As a result, police arrested the man last night. The 18-year-old Chatham man has been charged with:
– Assault x 7
– Assault with a weapon
– Mischief under $5000 x 4
– Forcible confinement x 2
– Fail to comply x5
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Motor Vehicle Collision in Chatham CK16022744
This morning, shortly after 3:00 a.m. emergency crews responded to a collision on Grand Avenue East between The Landings and Gilmore Avenue as a vehicle struck a building. No one was injured.

Last night around 6:00 p.m. police responded to a two vehicle collision on Dufferin Avenue between Wellington Street and Lorne Avenue. No one was injured. Total damage was estimated at $5000.
An 18-year-old Dresden man was charged with careless driving.
Motor Vehicle Collision in Howard Township CK16022697
Around 5:45 p.m. last night, police responded to a two vehicle collision on O’Neill Line near Victoria Road. No one was injured. Total damage was estimated at $10,000.
A 38-year-old Thamesville man was charged with driving while under suspension. A 45-year-old Orford Township man was also charged with an offence contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

Yesterday morning, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Longwoods Road near Caledonia Road. One person was transported to hospital with minor injuries. Total damage was estimated at $10,000.
A 72-year-old Aylmer man was charged with careless driving.
