Motor Vehicle Collision in the area of Erie Beach CK16018355

Around 4:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon, emergency crews responded to a single motor collision on Erie Shore Drive, just outside the community of Erie Beach. The driver and sole occupant, lost control of her Pontiac Grand Am, left the roadway and came to rest in a ditch.

The 51-year-old Amherstburg woman was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with life-threatening injuries and transferred to London for further medical treatment.

The collision remains under investigation by the CKPS Traffic Management Section. Anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Doug Cowell at 519-355-1092.

ATV Collision in Dover Township CK16018359

Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a single ATV collision on Big Pointe Road. The driver, a 16-year-old youth lost control and entered a ditch, ejecting him and his 13-year-old passenger. Both were transported to hospital for medical attention.

Stolen Truck in Wallaceburg CK16018309

Sometime between June 18 at 12:00 p.m. and June 19 at 6:00 a.m. unknown suspect(s) stole a green 2004 Ford F-250 pick-up truck from Tabs Recycling on Baldoon Road. The truck was last seen with Ontario license plates AK89 718 and is valued at $12,000. Approximately $10,000 worth of Lincoln Welding equipment was also in the back of the truck.

Stolen Vehicle in Chatham CK16018324

Sometime yesterday morning between 12:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. unknown suspect(s) stole an orange 2002 Chevrolet Silverado from a parking spot on Simcoe Lane. The vehicle was last seen with Ontario license plates AL78 827.

Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere CK16018386

Last night, officers conducted a RIDE spot check on Erieau Road. Approximately 100 vehicles were stopped and checked with no infractions observed.
