Woman Charged with Theft CK16001565
On December 8, 2015 the woman attended Best Buy on St. Clair Street in Chatham with another woman and man. The trio exited the store with a Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and keyboard in their possession. Total value of the theft was $1439. Through investigation, police learned that the man had concealed the tablet in his clothing while the woman concealed the keyboard in her purse. Store surveillance images were posted on social media and the trio were identified as being residents of Sarnia. A warrant was issued for the man and woman.
Early this morning, Rachel VanLanduyt, 29 years of Alice Street in Sarnia was taken into custody on the outstanding warrant and charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. She was released pending a future court date of February 10, 2016.
Police continue to look for the 27-year-old Sarnia man.
Break and Enter in Chatham CK16001569
Around 2:30 a.m. this morning, police responded to an alarm at Shopper’s Drug Mart on Queen Street. Upon arrival, officers found a broken glass door. K9 Arry attended the scene but no one was found in the area. Through investigation, police learned that the suspect had stolen a Play Station 4 gaming system valued at $430. Damage to the door was estimated at $1000.
Police believe the suspect may have been wearing a grey/black/white plaid winter coat, black/grey toque with large pom pom on top, blue jeans, black shoes, grey/white gloves and red bandana over his face.

Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK16001481
On November 25, 2015 a warrant was issued for the man as he failed to comply with conditions of his Probation Order.
Yesterday morning, the 30-year-old Chatham man was arrested on the outstanding warrant. He has been held in custody.
Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant in London CK16001524
On July 18, 2015 the man was released from custody with conditions. On August 17, 2015 the man failed to attend for his scheduled fingerprint date and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Yesterday afternoon, the man was located in London and apprehended. Robert Neill, 34 years, of Ferguson Street in Brockville was released pending a future court date of February 2, 2016.
Man Charged with Being Intoxicated in a Public Place CK16001563
This morning, shortly after midnight, police received information that three men were walking in the middle of the road on Thames Street in Chatham. An officer on general patrol observed one of the men and through investigation, determined that he was intoxicated and unable to care for himself. For his own safety, the man was taken into custody.
The 24-year-old Chatham man was charged with being intoxicated in a public place and will be released when sober.
