The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 129 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Three people were arrested. Two of the three people were arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.
Man Arrested from Wanted List CK16031367
On August 27, 2016 the man was released from custody for the offences of possession of break-in instruments and resist arrest. One of his release conditions stated that he was to report to the local Probation Office by August 30, 2016 before 4:00 p.m.
The man failed to comply with this condition and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Yesterday, shortly after 5:00 p.m. police located the man in Chatham and he was arrested. The 23-year-old man of no fixed address has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Break and Enter in Wallaceburg CK16031359
Sometime between Saturday at 12:00 p.m. and Sunday at 3:00 p.m. unknown suspect(s) forced their way into a boat house on James Street causing about $700 damage. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole life jackets and other safety equipment valued at approximately $500.

Break and Enter in Chatham CK16031391
Sometime last night between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. unknown suspect(s) forced their way into a residence on Park Street causing about $200 damage. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a 55” plasma TV and computer table. Total value of the theft is estimated at $700.

Motor Vehicle Collision CK16031382
Last night, around 8:20 p.m. emergency crews responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Forhan Street near Langstaff Line.
The driver, a 37-year-old Wallaceburg woman, lost control of her vehicle and came to rest in a ditch. Luckily, she only sustained minor injuries.
A hydro pole was also damaged during the incident. Total damage was estimated at $20,000.
She was charged with careless driving.
