Man Charged with Impaired Driving CK16013959
Last night, just before 8:00 p.m. police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Talbot Trail between Craford Road and Douglas Road. Through investigation, the officer believed the man was operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested. The man was transported to police headquarters for breath tests. Minor damage was reported.
Paul Theriault, 38 years, of Gore Road in Harwich Township has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. He has been released pending a future court date of June 1, 2016.
Woman Charged with Careless Driving CK16013976
Early this morning, around 12:50 a.m. police responded to a single motor vehicle on Eighth Line between Dillon Road and Bloomfield Road. Through investigation, the officer suspected the woman was driving under the influence of alcohol and a roadside test was administered.
The 31-year-old woman was issued a three day license suspension for registering a warn on the roadside breath test. She was also charged with careless driving. Total damage was estimated at $15,000.
Break and Enter in Chatham CK16013852
Sometime over the past couple weeks, unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked garage on Richmond Street and stole a Stihl weed wacker, Stihl chainsaw, and BBQ.

Sometime between May 17 at 9:00 p.m. and May 18 at 8:00 a.m. unknown suspect(s) entered a home under renovation on Spencer Street and stole various materials valued at approximately $200.

Motor Vehicle Collision in Tilbury CK16013952
Just before 7:00 p.m. last night, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Queen Street near Mill Street. No one was injured. Total damage was estimated at $3000. An 18-year-old man was charged with failing to yield the right of way.
Theft in Chatham CK16013906
Yesterday afternoon between 1:45 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. unknown suspect(s) removed a Honda commercial model power washer from a flatbed power washing truck at VanKesteren Hyundai. The power washer was labelled ‘Home Depot Rental’ and valued at approximately $4000.
