Chatham-Kent Daily News Release – 18Oct2016

The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 202 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Two people were arrested.

Please be advised that there will be a Chatham-Kent Police Services Board Meeting today at 10:00 a.m. at police headquarters.

Break and Enter in Chatham CK16035078

Sometime between October 16th and October 17th, 2016, unknown suspect(s) gained entry into 4 storage units located on Gillard St. in Wallaceburg. Stolen was approximately $2000.00 in property. Approximately $1,500.00 in damage was also caused to the property.

Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK16035130

On June 24, 2016 a warrant was issued for the man as he failed to comply with conditions of his Probation Order.

On July 24th, 2016 a warrant was issued for the man as he failed to report his change of address as per his Recognizance of Bail.

On August 10th, 2016 the man stole a bank card and cell phone. He then gained assistance of another party to use the bank card. He could not be located and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Yesterday afternoon, police attended London OPP station and met the Oxford Police who currently had the male party in custody. The male party was subsequently arrested on the outstanding warrants.

Kenneth McClain, 31 years, of St. Thomas Ontario was later released pending a future court date of November 2nd, 2016.

Break and Enter in Chatham CK16025120

Sometime in the last two weeks, unknown suspect(s) forced their way into a detached garage on Talbot St. W in Blenheim. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole $300 worth of tools, and two bicycles.
