College Students Charged in Ridgetown CK16039145 / CK16039150
Last night, shortly after 10:30 p.m. police responded to the area of Hillsdale Avenue as students were disturbing the peace. One student was cautioned regarding their behaviour while two others were charged under the Nuisance By-Law.
About half an hour later, police learned that students were fighting on Main Street East. Upon arrival, there were no reports of threats or assaults. Alcohol was however seized.
The Chatham-Kent Police Services reminds everyone that this kind of behaviour will not be tolerated this school year. We understand that socialization is part of student life, however we simply ask that everyone obeys the laws and acts in a manner that is respectful and considerate to those living in the area. Our goal is to ensure public safety for all Ridgetown residents.
