Chatham-Kent Daily News Release – 17Mar2016

The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 83 calls for service in the last 24 hours. 4 person was arrested.

Update: Suspicious Fire CK16005761/RM16000726

As previously reported the Chatham-Kent Police Service had arrested a 24-year-old man in connection with a suspicious fire in Cedar Springs on the 9th of March 2016

As a result of the investigation officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit attended the area, and conducted a search warrant on the home. As a result of the search warrant officers located 191.58 grams of processed cannabis marihuana and cannabis resin with a total street value of over $3,800.00, as well as other items used in the production of a controlled substance.

As a result the 24-year-old man and a 28-year old female have been arrested and charged with Production of a Controlled substance. Both parties were released from custody with a future court date.

Mischief in Dresden CK16006532

Around 02:00 a.m. this morning unknown suspect(s) smashed the front window out of the LCBO on Lindsley St in Dresden. Damage is estimated at $1500.00, entry was not gained into the business.

Break and Enter in Chatham CK16005774

Sometime between the 15th of March at 8:30 p.m. and the 16th of March at 11:00 a.m. unknown suspect(s) broke a lock off of a shed on Queen Street. Once inside suspects removed a number of various items total value is $900.00.
