The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 142 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Three people were arrested.
Chatham Women Charged in Collision – CK17008810
On March 15th, 2017 a 32 year old Chatham women was operating a vehicle traveling on Base Line in the Municipality of Chatham-Kent. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a road sign before colliding with a hydro pole and coming to a stop. The driver suffered minor injuries and after investigation was charged with use of a hand held device. There was approximately $10,000 in damages to the vehicle and other property.
Chatham Women Arrested after Calling 911 – CK17008868/CK17008848
On March 15th, 2017 Police responded to a family dispute in the city of Chatham. An 18 year old women, a 21 year old women and others were involved in an altercation. The 21 year old women called police for assistance and the altercation was resolved in a peaceful manner.
The 21 year old women had engaged in a phone conversation approximately one hour earlier in which she uttered threats to a family member. Based on this occurrence there was reasonable and probable grounds to arrest the 21 year old for Uttering Death Threats. She was released from custody with conditions and a court date.
Wanted Party Arrested in Tilbury – CK17008824
On March 15th, 2017 a 20 year old Chatham women turned herself in on several outstanding warrants. The 20 year old women stated she had run out of friends and food and decided to deal with her legal issues. The women was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
