St. Patrick’s Day Safety Tips

With St. Patrick ’s Day tomorrow the Chatham-Kent Police Service would like to offer some safety tips for those of you celebrating this holiday.

It is important you predetermine a safe way to get home, select a designated driver or arrange for a cab to get you home safely.

If you feel impaired please don’t get behind a wheel. Impaired driving is drunk driving; even if you feel like you are ok a breathalyzer might not concur with that. Please do not operator a motor vehicle if you have been drinking.

If you are the designated driver please be extra cautious on the roadways. Just because you are doing the safe and sober thing, doesn’t mean others will follow your lead.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy St. Patrick’s Day
