Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 146 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Three people were arrested.

Chatham Male Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography – CK16021626

On July 13th, 2016, the Chatham-Kent Police Internet Child Exploitation Unit conducted a search warrant on a Chatham residence. Upon further investigation a 67 year old Chatham male was found to be in Possession of Child Pornography.

The 67yr Chatham male was arrested and charged with Accessing and Possession of Child Pornography. The 67yr male was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Head Quarters and held for a bail hearing.

Female Arrested on outstanding Warrant – CK16021645

On October 26th, 2015, at 2145hrs, several cars were entered at an east end parking lot in Chatham. Multiple items had been stolen from the vehicles. A Blenheim female was identified in surveillance video and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Yesterday, July 13th, 2016, the Blenheim female was located biking in Ridgetown and subsequently arrested on the strength of the warrant for 2 Counts of Theft Under $5000. The Blenheim female was later released on a Promise to Appear with a future court date.

Male arrested for Bail Violations – CK16021740

On June 13, 2016 a 21yr Chatham male was arrested for Theft Under $5000 from a Motor Vehicle and Possession Under $5000.00. He was released on a Promise to Appear with an Undertaking with a condition to remain in his residence from 10:00pm-6:00am.

On June 21, 2016, the 21yr male party appeared before the Justice of the Peace for failing to comply with his Undertaking. The male party was later released on a Recognizance also bound by a curfew of 10:00pm – 6:00am.

Last night Police were dispatched to Edgar street with regards to a suspicious person complaint. Police located the 21yr male party outside his residence breaching his curfew conditions. The male party was arrested for 1 count breach of undertaking and 1 Count Breach of Recognizance. The male party was held awaiting a bail hearing.

Break And Enter to a Chatham Residence shed – CK16021727

Sometime between July 11th, 2016 and July 13th, 2016 unknown suspects cut a pad lock off a shed on Garden Path in Chatham and removed a Purple Mountain Bike valued at $100.00.

Break and Enter into a Garage in Chatham – CK16021728

Sometime last evening between 5:30pm and 6:30pm unknown suspects entered an open door to a garage on Orangewood Blvd in the City of Chatham. The unknown suspects stole a 19” Giant Sedona bike valued at $200.
