Man Charged with Assault CK16009640

Last night, police responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Dresden. The man and woman began arguing which escalated into a physical altercation.

The 33-year-old Dresden man was arrested and charged with assault. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man Charged with Domestic Related Offences CK16009499

On April 12, 2016, the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s home in Blenheim to retrieve personal belongings. An argument ensued resulting in the man assaulting the woman. The man fled the area prior to police arrival and through investigation, the woman disclosed that this was not the first time she had been the victim of domestic violence.

Yesterday morning, police located the man and he was arrested. The 41-year-old Blenheim man was charged with three counts of assault. He was transported to the court house pending a bail hearing.

Youth Charged with Obstruct Police CK16009579

Yesterday afternoon, police initiated a traffic stop on Lee Avenue in Tilbury. The female driver identified herself using photo identification. The youth, a passenger in the vehicle, provided verbal identification only. Through investigation, the officer learned that the youth was lying and his true identity was confirmed. Further information revealed that the youth was currently on conditions not to communicate with the 21-year-old female driver.

The 15-year-old Wheatley youth was arrested and charged with obstruct police and failing to comply. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man Charged with Failing to Comply CK16009498

On April 12, 2016 around 2:00 p.m. the man surprised his ex-girlfriend in a parking lot in Chatham as she was attending an appointment. The man, currently on conditions not to communicate with her, engaged in a conversation trying to repair their relationship. As the woman asked him to leave, he grabbed her cell phone and fled the area.

Yesterday morning, police located the man and he was arrested. The 29-year-old Wallaceburg man was charged with failing to comply and theft under $5000. He was transported to the court house pending a bail hearing.

Attempt Break and Enter in Wheatley CK16009556

Sometime this month, unknown suspect(s) attempted to gain entry into the Wheatley Animal Hospital on Erie Street North.
