Break and Enter in Chatham CK16017087

On June 10th, 2016, the Chatham-Kent Police were notified of a break and enter to a residence on Chippewa Drive in Chatham. Investigation revealed that unknown person(s), on the previous evening, entered through an open garage and stole over $600.00 worth of power tools..

Man Charged with Break and Enter CK16017094

On June 10th, 2016, around 11:35 a.m. police responded to a Break and Enter on Foster St. in Chatham. Upon police arrival, officers were provided with a description of the suspect. The suspect was then observed in the building and subsequently arrested.

The 32-year-old Chatham man is charged with Break and Enter with Intent and remains in police custody this morning pending a bail hearing.

Youth Charged with Numerous Domestic related Criminal Code offences including Assault CK16016932

On June 9th, 2016 police had received a 911 hang up call from a cell phone. The following day the owner of the cell phone came forward and provided police with a detailed statement in regards to numerous criminal code offences of a domestic nature. Yesterday morning the male young offender turned himself into police custody.

The male young offender was arrested and transported to courts for a bail hearing. He was later released on a Recognizance of Bail with numerous conditions.

Woman Charged with Assault CK16017191

Last night around midnight, the female accused observed the victim, who was known to her, on Richmond Street in Chatham. The female believed the victim was making derogatory comments about her and drove her vehicle over to the victim’s location and confronted her. The victim began walking away and the female pushed her to the ground causing her to sustain a small cut to her hand and knee.

The 39-year-old Chatham female was arrested and charged with assault. She was released pending a future court date of June 28th, 2016.

Man Charged with Breach of Probation CK16017197

On June 11th, 2016, at 1:23 a.m. police located the male party on Dufferin Ave. in Wallaceburg. The male party was currently bound by a Probation Order with a curfew of 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. and was in Breach of this condition.

The 21-year-old Walpole Island man was arrested and charged with breach of probation. He was later released pending a future court date.
