Man and Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrants CK16003476
Around 5:30 p.m. the man contacted police to report a domestic disturbance between himself and his girlfriend. Through investigation, no charges were laid, however the 26-year-old Chatham man was arrested on a surety relief warrant. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
The 19-year-old Chatham woman was also apprehended on an outstanding warrant for the offences of fraud under $5000, utter a forged document and fail to attend court. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK16003505
On September 25, 2015 the man was released from custody pending a future court date for being in possession of methamphetamine for the purposes of trafficking.
On November 5, 2015 the man failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Just before 12:30 a.m. this morning, police located the man and he was arrested on the outstanding warrant. The 29-year-old Chatham man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Man Charged with Assault CK16003481
Last night around 7:30 p.m. police responded to a domestic dispute at a residence in Chatham. Through investigation, police learned that the man assaulted the woman during an argument and that this was not the first incident of domestic violence in their home. The woman did not require medical attention.
The 44-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with two counts of assault. He was released with conditions pending a future court date of March 1, 2016.
Man Charged with Mischief CK16002657
Earlier this month, a woman contacted police to report an incident that occurred at her home in Tilbury. On January 13, 2016 the woman had no hot water and contacted Ron Reaume’s Plumbing for assistance. Ron Reaume himself attended the home and while in the presence of the homeowner he stripped down naked and put his overalls on. Upon completing the job, the man undressed again inside the home, taking his overalls off and putting his clothes back on. The man gave the woman a bill and left the residence.
Last night, Ron Reaume, 55 years, of Lakeshore Road in Comber was arrested and charged with mischief. He was released pending a future court date of March 1, 2016.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service believe that this may not have been the first time that Mr. Reaume has displayed this behaviour while in the presence of a customer. Motor Vehicle Collision CK16003454
Around 1:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Sandys Street near Fielder Avenue in Chatham.
No one was injured. Total damage was approximately $8000.
A 20-year-old Chatham woman was charged with careless driving.
