On Saturday, July 9, 2016, Chatham-Kent Police were dispatched to attend an apartment building on Grand Avenue West, Chatham, in response to a break and enter. Through investigation it was discovered that sometime between 2:00am – 2:30am, unknown suspect(s) forced entry into a locked storage room stealing several bicycles.

Noise Complaint CK16021127
On Saturday, July 9, 2016 at approximately 8:20am, Chatham-Kent Police were dispatched to attend a residence on Foster Street, Chatham, in response to a noise complaint. An intoxicated 52 year old man was playing his stereo loudly, disturbing his neighbours. The Chatham man was issued a noise by-law ticket. As Police were leaving, the man turned the stereo volume back up, subsequently was issued a summons to answer to the charge in court.
Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere CK16021167
On Saturday, July 9, 2016, officers conducted a RIDE spot check at the entrance to Erieau.
425 vehicles were stopped and checked with no infractions observed.

On Saturday, July 9, 2016, Chatham-Kent Police were dispatched to attend 325 Grand Avenue E, in response to a break and enter. Overnight, unknown suspects broke into a fenced compound and stole copper braided ground cable.
