Chatham-Kent Daily News Release – 10April2016

The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 109 calls for service in the last 24 Hours. 2 people were arrested.

Female Arrested on Outstanding Warrant – 16009128

On April 9th, 2016 at approximately 11:30a.m. police located a female on Raleigh Street in the city of Chatham who was wanted on a warrant for utter forged documents, obstruct justice, and breach of probation order.

The 40 year old Chatham female was release with a future court date of April 11th, 2016 at 9:00a.m.

Motor Vehicle Collision – CK16009125

On April 9th, 2016 at approximately 10:37a.m. police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Raleigh Street in the city of Chatham involving two vehicles. There were no injuries as a result of the collision, and approximately $15,000 damage to the vehicles involved.

A 42 year old Chatham male has been charged with left turn – fail to afford reasonable opportunity to avoid collision contrary to section 141(5) of the Highway Traffic Act.

Over .80mgs of Alcohol – CK16009197

On April 10th, 2016 at approximately 1:25a.m. police located a vehicle in the area of Park Street and Park Avenue East in the city of Chatham, and conducted a traffic stop. Through investigation it was determined the male driver’s blood alcohol level was greater than .80mgs of alcohol per 100mls of blood.

The 55 year old Wallaceburg male was charged with operating a motor vehicle with more than .80mgs of alcohol per 100mls of blood. He was release with a future court date of April 26th, 2016 at 9:00a.m.

Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) – CK16009179

On April 9th, 2016 at approximately 10:30p.m. police conducted a R.I.D.E. program on Kiel Drive North in the city of Chatham. Approximately 30 cars were checked one roadside alcohol test was conducted, no infractions were found
