The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 150 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Four people were arrested.

Man Fails to Comply with Release Conditions CK16041751

On August 22, 2016 the man was released from custody with several conditions. Three of those conditions stated that he was not to attend within 50 meters of a specific address on Grand Avenue in Chatham, not to attend within the city of Chatham unless with his surety and to obey a daily curfew of 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The man is also bound by a Probation Order not to attend the same address on Grand Avenue.

Yesterday, the man attended the woman’s residence multiple times throughout the day. Officers located the man and he was arrested. The 26-year-old Tilbury man has been charged with seven counts of failing to comply and three counts of breach of probation. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man Found Disobeying Release Conditions CK16041788

On October 3, 2016 the man was released from custody with several conditions. Two of those conditions stated that he was not to communicate with a specific woman and to obey a daily curfew. The man is also bound by two Probation Orders, each with a condition not to associate with the same woman.

Last night, police responded to a trespassing complaint at a business on St. Clair Street in Chatham. Officers located the man in the company of the woman. The 46-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with two counts of failing to comply and two counts of breach of probation. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man Charged with Failing to Comply CK16041796

On November 23, 2016 the man was released from custody with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that he was not to communicate or associate with a specific woman.

Last night, police attended the man’s residence to conduct a compliance check and found the man associating with the woman. The 31-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with failing to comply. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Woman Charged with Assault CK16041750

Early yesterday morning, the woman was staying with a family member when a verbal dispute began. The incident escalated into a physical altercation as the woman assaulted the homeowner.

The 28-year-old Wallaceburg woman was arrested and charged with assault. She was released pending a future court date of December 23, 2016.

Motor Vehicle Collisions

Yesterday, officers responded to several weather related collisions across the Municipality. Luckily, no one was seriously injured.
