The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 120 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Seven (7) people were arrested.

Chatham Man Charged with Failing to Comply – CK17011870

In March of 2017, the man was arrested for possession of stolen property and released from custody with conditions. One of his conditions was to remain in his residence daily between the hours of 8:00pm and 6:00am.

On April 9th, at 1:30am, officers located the male in an alleyway, in the city of Chatham.

The 26-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with failing to comply. He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he was held for a bail hearing.

Chatham Man Arrested Twice – CK17011786

On March 30th, the man attended a business in Blenheim and stole a bottle of cologne. On Saturday April 8th, police located the man and arrested him for theft and possession of stolen property. The man was later released with a future court date.

Less than two hours later the man attended a business in Chatham, where he stole another $50 worth of merchandise.

The 21-year-old Chatham man was re-arrested and again charged with theft and possession of stolen property. He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he was held for a bail hearing.

Chatham Man Charged with Mischief – CK17011777

Just before noon on Saturday, police were called to the area of Raleigh Street and Cross Street in Chatham, regarding a man who was observed stripping wire from a hydro pole.

Upon arrival officers located the man and he was arrested for mischief under $5000. The 39-year-old Chatham man was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he was held for a bail hearing.

Chatham Man Charged with Driving Under Suspension –CK17011835

On April 8th, police conducted a traffic stop in the area of Gray Street in Chatham. Through investigation it was determined that the driver’s license was suspended.

The 28-year-old Chatham man was charged with driving while under suspension and was released with a future court date.
