The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 124 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Three people were arrested.
Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK16033747
On August 30, 2016 police responded to a residence in Blenheim as the homeowner reported a man had exposed himself to her while she was outside sitting on her front porch. Through investigation, police identified the man responsible and learned that he was also bound by conditions to reside at a specific address on Walpole Island and that he was not to be out of his residence without his surety. Attempts were made to locate the man, however, when unsuccessful, a warrant for the offences of committing an indecent act, and two counts of failing to comply was issued for his arrest.
Yesterday afternoon, police located the man in Wallaceburg and he was arrested on the outstanding warrant. The 52-year-old man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Man Charged with Criminal Harassment CK16033755
Yesterday morning around 2:40 a.m. the man sent his ex-wife text messages that caused her to fear for her safety and the safety of her children. Police were notified and through investigation learned that the man was also watching her through a surveillance system. A previous incident of domestic assault was also disclosed.
Early this morning, police located the man and he was arrested. The 42-year-old Thamesville man has been charged with assault and two counts of criminal harassment. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Theft of Tools in Chatham
CK16033723 – Sometime yesterday around noon, unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked garage on St. Clair Street and stole a Simoniz power washer and red tool box containing various items. Total value of the theft has been estimated at $1500.

CK16033732 – Sometime yesterday between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked shed on Prince Arthur Avenue. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a black 6 galloon air compressor, black and yellow tool box containing sockets and ratchets and new propane cylinder from the BBQ. Total value of the theft has been estimated at $400.

Motor Vehicle Collision CK16033703
Yesterday morning around 10:30 a.m. police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Fargo Road near Horton Line.
Minor injuries were reported. Total damage was estimated at $5000.
The 65-year-old Chatham woman was charged with failing to negotiate a turn.
