Man Charged with Criminal Harassment CK16005069

On February 14, 2016 a Dresden resident contacted police to report that he was being harassed by a man known to him as he was sending him multiple texts and leaving notes on his vehicle. Police spoke with the man and warned him regarding his behaviour.

The man continued the harassment and yesterday afternoon was arrested. The 47-year-old Dresden man has been charged with criminal harassment and uttering threats. He has been released with conditions pending a future court date of March 28, 2016.

Break and Enter in Chatham CK16005508

Sometime yesterday between 2:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. unknown suspect(s) cut the lock to a fenced compound on Riverview Drive, also known as Union Gas. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a roll of used copper wire.

Electronics Stolen In Chatham CK16005544

Sometime between March 4 at 5:30 p.m. and March 6 at 7:30 p.m. unknown suspect(s) forced their way into triPhone Cellular on Queen Street and stole various electronics valued at approximately $5000. Damage was estimated at $1000.

Break and Enter at Local Pharmacy CK16005550

Last night around 11:40 p.m. police responded to an alarm at Richmond Pharmacy in Chatham. Through investigation, officers learned that the suspect(s) had damage the front door to gain entry and stolen a quantity of medication. K9 Arry was called to the scene and four pill bottles were recovered in the area. It is unknown at this time if those four bottles were all that were stolen. Officers continue to work with the Pharmacy to determine if any medication remains outstanding.

Single Motor Vehicle Collision CK16005568

Around 5:00 a.m. this morning, police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Talbot Trail near Fargo Road.

The man lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway and struck two poles. Luckily, he was not injured.

Damage was estimated at $5000.

The 20-year-old Erieau Beach man was charged with careless driving.
