Man Arrested from Wanted List CK16008795

Yesterday afternoon shortly before 5:00 p.m. an officer on general patrol located the man on Park Avenue West. The man was arrested on outstanding warrants for the offences of theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000, escape lawful custody, breach of probation and failing to attend court.

The 31-year-old Chatham man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Theft of Tools CK16008773

Yesterday morning around 3:00 a.m. two men attended Handy Brothers Climate Care on Communication Road and stole various tools from an unlocked van. A Bosch Hammer Drill, Milwaukee Sawzall, Yellow Jacket Ratchet Bender, extension cord and torches valued at approximately $1500 were stolen.

Theft of Wallet CK16008794

Around 4:00 p.m. yesterday, the victim attended Shoppers Drug Mart on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg. She placed her blue leather wallet containing a Samsung Galaxy S3 cell phone, credit card and cash in a cart. As she discovered the cart wasn’t safe for her infant child, unknown suspect(s) stole her wallet as she switched carts.

Motor Vehicle Collision CK16008798

Shortly after 5:00 p.m. yesterday, police responded to a two vehicle collision on McNaughton Avenue near Murray Street in Wallaceburg.

No one was injured. Total damage was estimated $4000.

A 32-year-old Wallaceburg man was charged with fail to yield to traffic on through highway.

Around 11:45 p.m. last night, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Keil Drive South between Richmond Street and Warwick Drive in Chatham.

No one was injured. Total damage was estimated at $5000.

A 25-year-old Wallaceburg woman was charged with fail to yield from driveway.
