Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run

Through the years, police services across the Province have been raising funds and awareness for Special Olympics Ontario. The money raised has allowed more people with mental disabilities to participate. There is the chance for year round participation as the athletes have the chance to qualify for Regional, Provincial, National, and International Competitions.

This year, members of various law enforcement agencies will be participating locally here in our community on Friday, June 10, 2016. Runners are asked to assemble at the Parc Centenaire de Pain Court at 12:30 p.m. The run through the village will start at 1:00 p.m. and will be approximately 4 km in total.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service would like to invite members of the community to run / walk with us in support of Special Olympics. Those interested are encouraged to contact Constable Mike Currie at [email protected]
