The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 125 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Two people were arrested.
Woman Charged with Theft CK16008651
Yesterday afternoon, police responded to No Frills on Queen Street in Chatham in regards to a shoplifting complaint.
A 48-year-old woman was arrested and charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. She was released pending a future court date.
Man Charged with Being Intoxicated in a Public Place CK16008728
Shortly after 2:00 a.m. this morning, police responded to a disturbance on Grand Avenue East in Chatham.
A 33-year-old Chatham man was found to be intoxicated. For his own safety, he was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters. He has been charged with being intoxicated in a public place. He will be released when sober.
Break and Enter in Chatham CK16008691
Sometime yesterday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. unknown suspect(s) entered a residence on Indian Creek Line and stole electronics and jewelry.

Motor Vehicle Collision CK16008719
Last night around 11:30 p.m. police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Forest Street in Chatham.
A 48-year-old Chatham woman struck a parked vehicle causing approximately $15,000 damage.
No one was injured. She was charged with careless driving.
Theft in Wallaceburg CK16008629
Sometime late Monday night or early Tuesday morning, unknown suspect(s) stole an adult bicycle from a residence on Wallace Street. The bicycle was yellow in colour with white rims and a basket on the front and back. Value of the bicycle is estimated at $700.
