Man Charged with Assault CK16033403
On October 2, 2016 police responded to a domestic dispute at a residence in Chatham.
At this time, a woman reported that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend during a verbal argument. The man fled the home prior to police arrival.
Yesterday morning, the 24-year-old Chatham man attended police headquarters and turned himself in. He was arrested and charged with assault. He was released pending a future court date of October 28, 2016.
Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK16033481
On May 3, 2016 the woman was released from custody for numerous offences.
On June 9, 2016 the woman failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Yesterday afternoon, police located the woman and she was arrested on the outstanding warrant. The 43-year-old Chatham woman has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Man Charged with Resist Arrest CK16033497
Yesterday, the man entered into a Probation Order with several conditions. A couple of those conditions stated to keep the peace and be of good behavior and do not attend within the Municipality of Chatham-Kent except while travelling on Highway 401 or as required for purposes relating to compliance of the Probation Order.
Last night around 9:00 p.m. police responded to a disturbance at a convenience store on Grand Avenue in Chatham. As the officer placed the man under arrest for being intoxicated in a public place, he resisted arrest and pulled away from the officer. The man was taken into custody following a short struggle and has been charged with being intoxicated in a public place and two counts of breach of probation. The 54-year-old man of no fixed address has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Pair Arrested for Being Intoxicated in a Public Place CK16033524
Early this morning, around 1:15 a.m. police responded to a disturbance in the lobby of a hotel on Richmond Street in Chatham.
A 28-year-old woman and 45-year-old man, both from Ottawa, were arrested and charged with being intoxicated in a public place.
Both will be released when sober.
Break and Enter CK16033443
Sometime yesterday between 4:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. unknown suspect(s) forced their way into two sheds on Harwich Street in Chatham.
Approximately $5000 worth of various tools were stolen.
