Chatham-Kent Daily News Release – 05Mar2017

The Chatham Kent Police responded to 135 call for service in the last 24 hours.

CK17007367– Arson. CKPS and CKFD responded to a working house fire on Dew Drop Line in Thamesville. The fire was extinguished-however extensive damage destroyed the residence with a total value of $120,000.00. Information over the last week there have been three fires at this residence. A 46 year old man has been charged with several offences in relation to the fire and surrounding incidents.

CK17007407– Recovered Stolen Motor vehicle. Police received information that a stolen vehicle was possibly at this location. Police attended and located 1999 Chevrolet GM4 truck confirmed stolen from Windsor. Towed to Chatham Towing and WPS notified.

CK17007412 and CK17007415-Attempt Break and Enters. Police conducted property checks at local Public Schools and located fresh pry marks on several windows. No entry gained and key holders contacted.

CK17007428 and CK17007411– Intoxicated persons. Police attended 2 separate calls where unruly persons unable to care for themselves were taken into custody and lodged until sober.

CK17007307-Arrest in Chatham – A local man arrested on warrants for Breach Recognizance and Fail to Attend Court. He was later released on his own recognizance.

CK17007321-Stolen Vehicle -Sometime between 9:50am and 10:10am unknown suspect(s) stole a 2002 black GMC Denali from the Winners parking lot with 5 orange lights on top.

CK17007323-Arrest- A local female was arrested on warrants for Breach of Probation x2, Fail to Attend Court. Later released on a Promise to appear.

CK17007331-Arrest -Officers attended an address in Chatham in response to a 911 hang up call. A local man was located in the residence despite being on conditions not to be there. Arrested for breaching recognizance and held for bail.

CK17007363-Arrest-A local male was a passenger in a car and officers knew he was wanted. A traffic stop conducted and the male was arrested on warrants for Breach Probation, FTC with a Promise to Appear, FTC with Undertaking, and Fail to Attend Court. He was held for bail.
