The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 134 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Six people were arrested.

Man Charged with Numerous Drug Related Offences CK16011135
As previously reported, on April 25, 2016 members of the Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Section executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant at a residence on West Street in Chatham during which fentanyl residue, hydromorphone and packaging material were seized. During the execution of the warrant a locked safe was also located and seized.
On April 26, 2016 police executed a warrant on the safe and a quantity of methamphetamine, cocaine, methadone, clonazepam and large amount of cash was seized. Total street value of the drugs found inside the safe was estimated at over $30,000.
Yesterday, a 21-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with four counts of drug possession for the purposes of trafficking. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing. Police continue to look for a second man also wanted in connection with this investigation.
Man Charged with Failing to Provide Breath Test CK16012078
Shortly after 7:00 p.m. last night, police received information about a possible impaired driver in Chatham. An officer on general patrol located the vehicle on Taylor Avenue. Through investigation, the officer suspected the man was operating his vehicle while under the influence. The man refused to provide a roadside breath test and was arrested.
Lucian Damian, 55 years, of Parkdale Avenue in Hamilton was charged with failing to provide a breath sample. He was released pending a future court date of May 17, 2016. His vehicle was towed from the roadway.
Man Charged with Failing to Comply CK16012071
On March 23, 2016 the man was released from custody with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that he was to remain in his residence unless in the presence of his surety, medical emergency or court appearance.
Last night around 6:10 p.m. an officer observed the man walking on foot alone in the area of Park Avenue West in Chatham. The man entered a residence and with the assistance of the homeowner, the man was apprehended. The 44-year-old Walpole Island man has been charged with failing to comply. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK16012081
On March 30, 2016 the woman was released from custody for the offences of utter forged document, fraud, failing to appear for fingerprints and failing to attend court. On April 13, 2016 the woman failed to attend court again and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Last night around 7:30 p.m. police located the 51-year-old Blenheim woman and she was arrested on the outstanding warrant. She was transported to police headquarters and has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
