Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK16008415

On September 29, 2015 the woman was released from custody for the offences of breach of probation and failing to attend court. On January 5, 2016 the woman failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Yesterday afternoon, an officer on general patrol observed the woman on Colborne Street in Chatham and she was arrested. The 29-year-old Chatham woman has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man Charged with Failing to Comply CK16008395

On March 30, 2016 the man was released from custody with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that he was to remain in his residence except for medical emergencies.

Yesterday morning, shortly after 10:30 a.m. police received a call from Sobeys on Park Avenue West in Chatham in regards to a suspicious man in their store. Through investigation, police located the man and learned that he was breaching his release condition.

The 45-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with failing to comply. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Woman Charged with Theft CK16008449

Last night, around 6:45 p.m. police responded to Shopper’s Drug Mart on Queen Street in Chatham in regards to a shoplifting complaint. The woman stole approximately $80 worth of cosmetics.

Emily McKenna, 24 years, of Wellington Street in Chatham has been charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. She was released with conditions pending a future court date of May 11, 2016.

Woman Charged with Theft CK16008458

Around 8:30 p.m. last night, police responded to Walmart on St. Clair Street in Chatham in regards to a shoplifting complaint. The woman concealed items and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise.

Bernadette Rose, 36 years, of Crerar Drive in Chatham has been charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. She was released pending a future court date.

Break and Enter in Chatham CK16008419

Sometime between Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. unknown suspect(s) forced their way into the Investors Group building on St. Clair Street in Chatham causing about $500 damage. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a silver Dell laptop valued at approximately $500.
