The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 113 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Two people were arrested.

Man Charged with Failing to Comply RM16003047

On September 26, 2016 the man was released from custody with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that he was to attend police headquarters on October 2, 2016 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to sign in.

The man failed to attend yesterday and was arrested early this morning. Richard Williams, 50 years, of Orchard Heights in Chatham was charged with failing to comply. He was released pending a future court date of October 11, 2016.

Motor Vehicle Collision CK16033204

Yesterday afternoon around 2:00 p.m. police responded to a three vehicle collision on Arnold Street near Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg.

Minor injuries were reported. Total damage was estimated at $15,000.

A 47-year-old Wallaceburg man was charged with following too closely.

Theft of Purse in Wallaceburg CK16033192

Sometime yesterday between 2:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. unknown suspect(s) stole a blue Guess satchel containing a pink Guess wallet from a vehicle parked in a driveway on King Street. The satchel contained cash, personal identification, bank cards and two LCBO gift cards.

Mailboxes Damaged in Chatham Township CK16033173

Sometime late Saturday night or early Sunday morning, unknown suspect(s) used pumpkins to damage six mailboxes on Brook Line, Caledonia Road, and Centre Side Road.
