Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK16002752

On December 3, 2015 the man was released from custody for the offences of theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000.

On January 19, 2016 the man failed to attend police headquarters for fingerprints. The next day, he failed to attend court as required. A warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest.

Yesterday afternoon, police located the man in the area of Colborne Street and Sass Road in Chatham. Eric Hoffman, 22 years, of Duke Street in Wallaceburg was released pending a future court date of February 16, 2016.

Man Charged with Domestic Related Offences CK16002730

Yesterday afternoon, a woman contacted police to report that her ex-boyfriend was at her residence in Chatham. Through investigation, police learned that the man assaulted the woman while arguing.

The 23-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with assault and unlawfully in a dwelling house. He was released with conditions pending a future court date of February 16, 2016.

Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrant in Sarnia CK16002768

On November 30, 2015 the woman was released from custody for the offences of break and enter, theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000, drug possession and fail to attend court.

On January 14, 2016 the woman failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Last night, the woman was apprehended by Sarnia Police. The 51-year-old Sarnia woman was transported back to Chatham-Kent for court purposes. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK16002791

On November 10, 2015 the woman was released from custody for the offences of theft under $5000 and breach of probation.

On December 22, 2015 the woman failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Last night, police located the woman and she was arrested on the outstanding warrant. The 22-year-old Chatham woman has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Motor Vehicle Collision in Chatham CK16002775

Shortly after 7:00 p.m. last night, emergency crews responded to a collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian at the intersection of Lacroix Street and Richmond Street.

A 32-year-old Chatham man was crossing Lacroix Street when he was struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with non-life-threatening injuries. He was later transferred to Windsor for further medical treatment. The 64-year-old driver of the vehicle was not physically injured.

Total damage was estimated at $2000.

The pedestrian was charged with disobeying the ‘don’t walk’ signal.
