The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 98 calls for service in the last 24 hours. No one was arrested.

Break and Enter in Thamesville CK16011754

Sometime between April 23, 2016 and April 26, 2016 unknown suspect(s) entered a residence on Elizabeth Street and stole three (3) firearms. Specifically, a Remington .308 caliber semi-automatic rifle, a Cooey single shot 12 gauge shotgun and unknown make 12 gauge single shot shotgun.

Break and Enter in Chatham CK16011795

Sometime between April 29, 2016 at noon and May 1, 2016 at noon, unknown suspect(s) entered a fenced compound on St. Clair Street causing about $500 damage. Copper wire valued at $1500 was stolen.

Theft from Vehicle in Wallaceburg CK16011794

Sometime late Saturday night or early Sunday morning, unknown suspect(s) entered a vehicle parked on Elizabeth Street and stole a black GPS and folding knife.

Motor Vehicle Collision in Harwich Township CK16011762

Yesterday afternoon around 12:30 p.m. police responded to a two vehicle collision on Kent Bridge Road near New Scotland Line.

Minor injuries were reported. Total damage was estimated at $10,000.

An 80-year-old Blenheim woman was charged with an offence contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

Motor Vehicle Collision in Chatham CK16011767

Yesterday afternoon, just before 2:00 p.m. police responded to a collision involving a vehicle and cyclist on McNaughton Avenue East near St. Clair Street. The cyclist struck the side of the vehicle.

No one was injured. Total damage was estimated at $800.

A 17-year-old Chatham youth was issued a by-law ticket for operating his bicycle on the sidewalk.
