Man Charged with Mischief CK16015871

Last night at 7:15 p.m. the man attended a parking lot on Flamingo Street in Blenheim and with his Chevy 4×4 truck intentionally rammed the rear of the victim’s Ford Mustang. The Mustang sustained approximately $1500 to the rear bumper. The man then switched vehicles with a family member attempting to evade police.

Through investigation, officers located the man’s truck and determined that he was responsible for the damage to his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend’s car. The 29-year-old Ridgetown man was arrested and charged with mischief under $5000. He was released pending a future court date of June 22, 2016.

Man Charged with Impaired Driving CK16015857

Around 6:30 p.m. last night, police received information about a possible impaired driver in the area of St. Clair Street in Chatham. Officers located the man sitting behind the steering wheel of his vehicle in a parking lot with the engine running. Through investigation, police believed the man was in control of his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested. Officers transported the man to police headquarters for breath tests.

Robert Wright, 31 years, of Ordon Boulevard in Chatham has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. He was released when sober pending a future court date of June 24, 2016.

Dresden Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK16015773

On July 29, 2015 the man entered into a Probation Order with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that he was not to communicate with a specific Dresden woman. On January 21, 2016 the man was released from custody with several conditions, again with one being not communicate with this woman.

On May 31, 2016 police responded to a domestic disturbance in Dresden. The woman was arrested and charged with breach of probation. The man fled the area prior to police arrival, however he was located yesterday in Chatham and taken into custody. The 50-year-old Dresden man has been charged with failing to comply and breach of probation. He was transported to the courthouse pending a bail hearing.

Chatham Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK16015796

On March 17, 2016 the man attended his grandmother’s house in Chatham and following a verbal argument, he damaged a door and stole her laptop. Police attempted to locate the man, however whenever unsuccessful, a warrant was issued for the man for the offences of mischief under $5000 and theft under $5000. On March 31, 2016 a warrant was also issued for the man for two counts of breach of probation.

Yesterday afternoon, police located the man and he was arrested on the outstanding warrants. The 27-year-old Chatham man was transported to the court house pending a bail hearing.

Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK16015915

On March 24, 2016 the man entered a detached garage on Grand Avenue East in Chatham. Upon filling a small cooler bag with alcohol, the homeowner caught the man in her garage. The man fled prior to police arrival, however he was identified and a warrant was issued for his arrest for the offence of break and enter.

This morning around 4:30 a.m. police responded to a report of three suspicious men in the area of Richmond Street in Chatham. Through investigation, police located the man and he was arrested on the outstanding warrant. The 26-year-old man of no fixed address has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
