The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 164 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Seven people were arrested.

Man arrested on Outstand Warrant – CK16028677

The Chatham-Kent Police have arrested a man wanted on an outstanding warrant for domestic related offences.

On August 26, 2016, police responded to a residence on Orchard Heights in Chatham in regards to a domestic dispute. The female victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries. The male accused fled the residence prior to police arrival. A warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest for the offences of Break and Enter and two counts of assault.

Yesterday evening police located the man and he was taken into custody. The 38 year old Detroit, Michigan man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man arrested on Outstand Warrant – CK16028722

The Chatham-Kent Police have arrested a man wanted on an outstanding warrant for domestic related offences.

On August 30, 2016, police initiated an investigation in regards to several domestic disputes which had occurred between a male and female party between May and August of this year. As a result of this investigation a warrant was issued for the arrest of the male accused for the offences of assault and uttering threats.

Yesterday evening police located the man and he was taken into custody. The 38 year old Chatham man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man arrested on Outstand Warrants – CK16028725

The Chatham-Kent Police have arrested a man wanted on several outstanding warrants.

Yesterday evening police were contacted by Canada Border Services on Walpole Island after they had arrested a male party at the ferry crossing who was wanted by the Chatham-Kent Police. Police attended and took the male party into custody.

A 59 year old Walpole Island man was later released with a future court date for the charges of Breach of Probation, Failing to Attend Court, and Failing to Attend for Fingerprints.

Motor Vehicle Collision – CK16028633

Shortly after 8:00 AM yesterday morning, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Dufferin Ave at St Clair Parkway in Wallaceburg.

No persons were injured. Total damage was estimated at $5000.

A 27 year old Wallaceburg man was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Follow Too Closely.
