The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 130 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Three people were arrested.
Man Charged with Assault with a Weapon CK16015749
Last night, just before midnight, police responded to a disturbance at an establishment on King Street West in Chatham. The man threatened a 24-year-old Chatham man with a pipe. The pipe was seized as evidence. No one was injured.
Keith Holmes, 58 years, of Fourth Street in Chatham was charged with assault with a weapon and uttering threats. He was released pending a future court date of June 21, 2016.
Woman Charged with Breach of Probation CK16015670
Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a domestic disturbance between a man and woman on St. George Street in Dresden.
The 52-year-old Dresden woman was arrested and charged with breach of probation as she was currently on conditions not to communicate with the man. She was released pending a future court date of June 21, 2016.
Theft from Hotel in Chatham CK16015634
Sometime between May 30 at 8:30 p.m. and May 31 at 8:00 a.m. unknown suspect(s) forced their way into a vacant hotel room at the Comfort Inn on Richmond Street. Damage to the patio doors was estimated at about $1000. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a 32” LG television.

Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) CK16015731
Last night a RIDE spot check was conducted on Victoria Road near the 401 in Ridgetown.
35 vehicles were checked with no infractions observed.
Motor Vehicle Collision CK16015695
Yesterday afternoon around 3:45 p.m. police responded to a three vehicle collision on McNaughton Avenue East near Michener Road.
No one was injured. Total damage was estimated at $25,000.
A 46-year-old Chatham woman was charged with careless driving.

Cop Camp aims to motivate young people to be outstanding citizens through law enforcement education. Targeting students before high school, this program is a police academy for local youth.
