The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 136 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Four people were arrested.

Break and Enter in Dresden

Sometime overnight on June 30, 2016 an unknown suspect(s) forced their way into a business on North Street, Dresden. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole keys and the associated business vehicle. The vehicle was later located and recovered by the O.P.P.

Breach of Probation Arrest

In July 2015, a male party entered into a Probation Order as a result of Criminal Code convictions. The Probation Order included conditions in which the accused was required to follow. On June 23, 2016 a warrant was issued for his arrest for failing to comply with these conditions.

Last night, police located the male and he was arrested. The 28-year-old Chatham man has been charged with two counts of failing to comply with Probation. He was released pending a future court date of July 12, 2016.

Youth Charged with Domestic Related Offences

Yesterday evening, a young woman contacted police to report incidents of domestic violence. Police learned that a male that she was dating with had caused damage to her vehicle and also pushed her.

The male attended Police Headquarters and he was arrested. The 17-year-old Chatham man has been charged with one count of assault and one count of mischief. He was later released with conditions and a future court date of August 8th, 2016.

Break and Enter in Dresden

Sometime overnight between June 30, 2016 and July 1, 2016 an unknown suspect(s) forced their way into a residence on Tecumseh Street, Dresden. Once inside, the suspect(s) removed several clothing items estimated at $60.
