Mischief to Windmill

In the afternoon of December 31, 2015, Chatham-Kent Police attended a Mud Creek Line, Dover, location in regards to a mischief complaint. After speaking with the complainant, it is believed that sometime in the past few days, unknown suspect(s) shot 3 rounds from a rifle at a windmill. The cost of repairs and losses is estimated at $50,000. One of the rounds was located and seized for forensic examination.

Not Welcome Home for the Holidays

In March 2015, a Chatham man was given a Probation term, after being convicted of an assault against family members. He was placed on conditions not to contact or communicate with several individuals.

In the afternoon of December 31, 2015, Chatham-Kent Police responded to a residence on Canterbury St, Chatham, in regards to a family dispute. The family became concerned for their safety when the accused became increasingly agitated and argumentative.

The 38 year old Chatham man was arrested and charged with 3 counts of breaching his probation, and held for bail.

Stuck in the Middle

Just prior to the New Year, Chatham-Kent Police attended a residence on Lacroix St, Chatham, in regards to a disturbance. Two men got into a heated argument, when one of the wives stepped in to intervene, she was thrown out of the way and the two men got into a physical altercation. One man was arrested for throwing the other’s wife out of the way. All parties had been drinking, and suffered only minor injuries.

The 43 year old Chatham man was charged with assault, and later released with a future court date, once he had sobered up.

Impaired at RIDE Program

In the early morning of January 1, 2016, Chatham-Kent Police were conducting a RIDE program on Lacroix St, Chatham. At approximately 1:30AM a man pulled up in a pickup truck and was arrested for Impaired Operation of Motor Vehicle. He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters, and provided two samples to a Qualified Breath Technician. Both samples were well over double the legal limit.

32 year old, Justin ALLISON, was charged with Impaired Operation of Motor Vehicle and Over 80. The vehicle was towed for automatic impoundment and the accused was later released with a future court date.
