Charges Laid in Relation to Homicide Investigation at 446 King Street

On Friday, January 6, 2017, at approximately 5:10 p.m. members of the London Police Service responded to a report of a person in medical distress at 446 King Street, and located an injured male at that address. The male, 24 year old Matthew Perry of London, was transported to hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. The London Police Major Crime Section continued to investigate. The investigation and post mortem examination of the deceased have shown that Perry died of injuries sustained from a fall from height, and that his death was a homicide.

During the course of the investigation into Perry’s death, investigators learned that a second person was the alleged victim of kidnapping, forcible confinement, and assault. This victim did not require medical attention.

As a result of the investigation, a number of people have been arrested and multiple charges have been laid in relation to Perry’s death and the alleged offences committed against the second victim.

Clayton More, 34 years old, Tabitha Williams, 35 years old, Amanda Onstad, 28 years old, Justin Christensen, 28 years old, and Bradley Smith, 35 years old, all of London, are charged with:

• Two counts of Forcible Confinement (in relation to Matthew Perry and the second victim;)

• Two counts of Assault (in relation to Matthew Perry and the second victim;)

• One count of Kidnapping (in relation to the second victim.)

Allan Baptiste, 47 years old, of London, is charged with:

• Two counts of Forcible Confinement (in relation to Matthew Perry and the second victim;)

• Two counts of Assault (in relation to Matthew Perry and the second victim;)

• One count of Kidnapping (in relation to the second victim;)

• One count of Manslaughter in relation to Matthew Perry.

David George, 37 years old, of London, is charged with:

• One count of Assault in relation to Matthew Perry;

• One count of Forcible Confinement in relation to Matthew Perry;

• Once count of Manslaughter in relation to Matthew Perry.

These seven accused have been arrested and remain in custody.

William Tombs, 41 years old, of London, is charged with:

• Two counts of Assault (in relation to Matthew Perry and the second victim;)

• One count of Assault with a Weapon (in relation to Matthew Perry;)

• Two counts of Forcible Confinement (in relation to Matthew Perry and the second victim;)

• One count of Kidnapping (in relation to the second victim;)

• One count of Manslaughter in relation to Matthew Perry.

Tombs has not been arrested at this time, and a warrant has been applied for. If seen, members of the public are asked to call police and not approach him.
